This morning I had the opportunity to meet retired art librarian Stanley Hess.   Long time ARLIS/NA members may remember Dr. Hess as he worked at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Art.   He retired to Bremerton, Washington which is near the University of Puget Sound.  Dr. Hess has a large collection of museum publications as well as a significant personal art library that he is hoping to find a home for.   I told him I would share a message on ARLIS-L in case there are librarians that may be interested in learning more about his collections and/or would like to make a connection.  You may contact me directly at [log in to unmask]

Thank you,

Jane Carlin,

Library Director, University of Puget Sound

P.S. In his retirement, he has focused on the establishment of a rather unique museum of puppetry.  See the link here:
