Hello ARLIS,

I am a relatively new branch director and I am working on some collections scope and planning documentation. I am hoping to chat with others who have worked on similar projects.

Does your branch have a "special collections" separate from your institution's main special collections? do you have documentation or criteria for deciding where to house new "special" acquisitions or donations? If yes, I'd like to talk to you.

Does your library collect or house nude or erotic art? Do you keep these materials in closed or open stacks? I would love to hear how others are managing these collections.
