I am interested in hearing from libraries that disseminate non-book/non-serial bibliographic records beyond their local discovery platform to make them more widely discoverable.
Do you contribute bibliographic records to Worldcat for
- published graphical materials, such as posters, postcards, broadsides, and prints?
- unique materials, such as works of art on paper, non-commercial audio and video recordings, and ephemera?
Besides Worldcat, to which other discovery platforms do you regularly contribute bibliographic records?
Are the contributions to external discovery platforms made using a manually controlled batch process, or is a publishing profile utilized to automate the submission of new contributions/updates to previously contributed records based on locally defined
rules?
How do you track the external platforms to which a particular bibliographic record has been contributed? 035s? 9XX fields?
