Dear ARLIS/NA colleagues,

Deborah Ultan and Jennifer Riestenberg, of the University of Minnesota Libraries and Walker Art Center Library, respectively, invite arts librarians and archivists dealing with collection development or acquisitions to contribute to a survey on responsive acquisition strategies for addressing bias. This survey seeks your feedback on how you are reshaping acquisition praxis to meet new goals that are demanding collections and research materials be representative, equitable, and offer a more genuine reflection of our culture. Your participation is invaluable as our institutions face the need to urgently address bias and lack of BIPOC representation in collections.

This survey is expected to take approximately 15 minutes.
It closes February 8, 2022.
Take the survey here: https://forms.gle/vWZV5ZawshA7s9Qq7

The data collected from the survey will inform a panel session at the ARLIS/NA 2022 Conference<https://arlisna50thannualconference.sched.com/event/uwU4>. Guidelines on ethical non-biased collection development and acquisition strategies will follow.

Gratefully,
Jennifer and Deborah
