Dear Colleagues! I am delighted to announce that Abigail Dansiger will be the next Director of Libraries and Archives at the Brooklyn Museum starting March 1, 2022! Here is a little background from Abby: *Abigail Dansiger is currently the Head of Library & Archives at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, where she oversees the multiple research libraries and archival collections for the de Young and Legion of Honor museums. She previously was the Visual Resources & Special Collections Librarian at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and has held positions at SFMOMA and the Bettmann Archive. **She has a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts and received her MLIS from San José State* *University.* *Abigail has been an active member of ARLIS/NA and VRA, serving as the Northern California Chapter Chair for both organizations. She also served as Co-Chair of the VRA Data Standards Committee and was a member of the ARLIS/NA NDSR Art Task Force.* *Abigail was raised by two proud Brooklynites, and lived in Brooklyn herself for ten years before venturing out West. She is greatly looking forward to returning to a city so dear to her heart and starting her new position at the * *Brooklyn Museum! * Please join me in congratulating Abby on her new position.
