New Voices in the Profession showcases exceptional academic work by students and new professionals (under 5 years post-MLS). Paper topics should relate strongly to Art and/or Visual Resources Librarianship, but also digital library projects, archives, library instruction, reference and the changing nature of libraries, among other topics. Papers that relate to the conference theme “Past Present Future: Aspiring to New Heights” and/or highlight art in Chicago will be given special consideration.
If you have already submitted a proposal to the general conference call for proposals and noted that you are a new professional or student, you will automatically be considered for the New Voices session and do not need to submit an additional proposal.
To see papers presented in past sessions, please view conference proceedings from previous years on the ARLIS/NA website. Papers will be selected by representatives from ArLiSNAP and the ARLIS/NA Professional Development Committee.
