Dear ARLISANS,

I wanted to direct your attention to two recently-published books by two
ground-breaking art historians whom I interviewed recently, Suzanne Preston
Blier's *Picasso's Demoiselles: The Untold Origins of a Modern
Masterpiece* (Duke
UP, 2020), and Dora Apel's *Calling Memory Into Place* (Rutgers UP, 2020).
The interviews are on my program's website at http://library-cafe.org and
are both in their own ways provocative. Also possibly of interest on the
site is my recent interview with the artist Robert Kipniss about his
memoir *Robert
Kipniss: A Working Artist's Life* (University Press of New England, 2011)
and Robert's wife Laurie Lisle's classic biography: *Portrait of an Artist:
A Biography of Georgia O'Keeffe* (Seaview 1980), a bit further down on the
site.

Cheers,

Thomas
