Everyone,
I would like to submit a proposal for the Chicago conference on Developing Image Databases for Research. This would ostensibly be "sponsored" by the Visual Resources Division, of which I am the current moderator.
I am interested in speakers who could provide case studies from their institutions about
image databases that have been created/are being created for research purposes from academic, library, museum, federated collections, etc., using a variety of platforms and covering a range of image content and media. These image databases could
emphasize specific projects (e.g. faculty driven research), highlight important collections (e.g. library or museum), accompany a museum or library temporary exhibition, or even bring together disparate collections from different institutions.
If you are interested in participating in such a session, please contact me directly this week with a brief paper proposal (limited to 150 words) at

Thanks
John
