Dear ARLIS/NA Community,
Just a reminder that the COVID-19 resources and human impact surveys are open just until the end of this week (July 31) - if you've been on vacation or have not yet set aside a few minutes to complete one or the other (or both!), please consider doing so. Response has been strong so far, but this research will be strengthened by hearing from as many of you as possible.
Details below.
All best wishes,
Amy Furness (on behalf of the ARLIS/NA Task Force on Art Libraries' Response to COVID-19)

Subject: ARLIS/NA COVID-19 surveys on resources and human impact

Dear ARLIS/NA Community,

Over the past 16 months, COVID-19 has had a tremendous but unmeasured impact on the work and the lives of ARLIS/NA members. This pair of surveys is intended to help our association understand the scope and nature of that impact, in order to inform the work of our leadership and our membership. The surveys will be open for the remainder of July, in the hope of catching people who may be on vacation.

  * The individual survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7LFJTL9> is intended to be completed by any ARLIS/NA member, inclusive of student or employment status. Please allow 20 minutes.

  * The institutional survey<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7L8589J> should be completed by one representative of each art information institution, a person equipped to answer questions about budgets and staffing. Please allow 20 minutes.

You are welcome to complete both surveys, if applicable! Both surveys are anonymous, unless the participant chooses to provide their contact information for research followup. Raw data will be seen only by members of the COVID-19 Survey Task Force, and aggregated results will be shared with the membership in the form of a report, coming later in 2021. You are welcome to be in touch with me or with Mark Pompelia, co-chairs of the task force, if you have any questions, concerns or other feedback.

The ARLIS/NA Task Force on Art Libraries' Response to COVID-19 was formed in 2020 to assess and respond to ARLIS/NA members' need for data about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on art information professionals by identifying and compiling existing sources of information and conducting survey(s) of the membership to fill identified information gaps. Task force members are myself and Mark Pompelia (co-chairs), Tess Colwell, Tony White, Abi Sweeney, Margot Nishimura, Caley Cannon, Hee Jung Lee, Veronica McGurrin, Paula Farrar, Stacy Williams, Stefanie Hilles, and Vaughan Hennen.

Thanks in advance for your participation!
