Dear Colleagues, I am thrilled to report that at its May 2021 virtual meeting, the Council of the Society of American Archivists approved a requirement for salary transparency for all postings in the SAA Career Center <https://careers.archivists.org/>: "[SAA Council] Approved requiring compensation information on all job postings listed in the SAA Career Center and via official SAA blogs and social media, as well as requiring all institutions that post a job to 'include complete, accurate, and standardized data related to qualifications, job type, and salary or salary range.'” Here is the link to the full announcement: https://www2.archivists.org/news/2021/saa-council-approves-requirement-for-salary-transparency Enormous thanks and congratulations to the Archival Compensation Task Force <https://www2.archivists.org/governance/handbook/section8/groups/archival-compensation-task-force> and members of the archivist salary advocacy group for their truly inspiring efforts that helped to pass this vote!!
