Dear Colleagues,

The Middle East Librarians Association would like to announce the next lecture in their 2020-2021 Social Justice Lecture Series. On June 17th, at 12pm EDT, Aisha Wahab, Kristen St. John, and Richenda Brim will speak on grappling with exclusionary, Euro-centric, and/or colonialist language in conservation terminology.  The lecture will not be recorded, so we hope you can join us live.

You can access detailed information on this lecture, including registration information, via this link: https://www.mela.us/2021/06/10/re-centering-the-bench/, or in the attached PDF and jpg flyers (please do share widely if you wish!). We hope to see you there!

On Behalf of MELA’s Social Justice Committee,

Amanda
