Dear colleagues,

On behalf Yale University’s Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library, I am writing to share an upcoming Photobook Club Panel Discussion event this Friday, April 16 at 2 PM EDT. Larissa Leclair, independent photography collector and consultant and founder of the Indie Photobook Library, will join Yale Library colleagues George Miles, Mar González Palacios, and Heather Gendron in conversation about the ins and outs of collecting photobooks. Topics include: how collecting differs from the circulating stacks of libraries versus special collections; how the rise of self-published photobooks is changing the way institutions acquire new titles for their collections; how collection stewards find and purchase photobooks being published today; and how artists can establish relationships with collections.
