Hello ARLIS/NA community!

I would like to invite everyone in our community to consider applying for one of our many virtual conference attendance awards which provide access to ARLIS/NA's virtual conference taking place May 11-13, 2021 or international conferences, including IFLA (August 17-19, 2021) and others.

The deadline for these awards has been extended until April 16, 2021.

The virtual conference format has afforded us the opportunity to convene in new and creative ways as well as provide access to the conference to a wider community of library workers. Several of the virtual conference attendance awards are open to members and non-members alike.

The Kress Awards, generously sponsored by the Samuel H. Kress Foundation:

• For European librarians and art information professionals to attend the annual conference of the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA).
• For ARLIS/NA members to attend the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Art Libraries Satellite Meeting or another European art library conference.

The Howard Karno Award, generously sponsored by Beverly Karno.

• For art librarians residing in Latin America or Art Librarians residing in North America working with significant Latin American art/architecture research collections or researching subjects or themes related to Latin American art/architecture.

The Conference Attendance Awards

• For ARLIS/NA members who serve as a committee members, group moderators, and/or chapter officers.

The Student Conference Attendance Awards

• For students who are active participants in ARLIS/NA and are currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program in Library Studies and/or Information Studies or have recently graduated (within 12 mos. of graduation).
  
  
• ARLIS/NA is committed to addressing systemic racism in ARLIS/NA and the visual arts information profession therefore at least 50% of the student awards will be awarded to individuals who meet the criteria of the Student Diversity Award for Conference Attendance. This is open to ARLIS/NA members and non-members. Please see the awards page for details.

Please share this with your colleagues and extended networks. The ARLIS/NA conference and other international conferences are great opportunities for individuals to learn about art libraries and art library work.

Awardees will be honoured at the Convocation + Awards ceremony taking place (virtually) on May 11 at 4:30 pm EDT.
