The Metropolitan Museum of Art Archives Announces Online Access to the Schools of The Metropolitan Museum of Art Records December 1, 2020 The Metropolitan Museum of Art Archives announces that records documenting the establishment and operation of the Met's earliest educational programs have been fully digitized and are now accessible online here<https://www.metmuseum.org/art/libraries-and-research-centers/watson-digital-collections/metropolitan-museum-of-art-publications/schools-of-the-metropolitan-museum-of-art-records>. The Schools of The Metropolitan Museum of Art Records document vocational training and fine arts instruction programs organized by the Museum during 1879-1895. The collection includes course prospectuses, account books that identify students and faculty, meeting minutes of the Museum's Committee on Art Schools, and related business correspondence. Researchers are required to use digitized material for their initial access to the collection. Requests for access to original material will be reviewed a case by case basis.
