Call for Presentation, Panel, and Workshop Proposals, ARLIS/NA 2021
Conference, Montreal, Canada
The Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) will have its 49th annual conference north of the 49th parallel hosted in Montreal Canada in May 2021. Convergence
= Collaboration + Créativité highlights Montreal as a vibrant gathering place of Indigenous and settler cultures where French and English are commonly spoken and
where different languages, cultures and ideas come together. The theme also extends to the art information professionals working towards common goals in small and large institutions including academic and public libraries, museums, and other arts and cultural
organizations.
Convergence = Collaboration + Créativité recognizes the challenges that our profession faces during these uncertain times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in relation to social,
political, environmental, and cultural upheaval. It also looks for opportunities to work together in innovative ways to effect positive change. In this spirit, several of the accepted proposals from the cancelled 2020 St. Louis conference have been brought
forward to the 2021 Montreal conference.
The Montreal Conference Program Committee welcomes additional proposals (in English or in French) from library and archive professionals, students, scholars and educators, vendors, curators and designers that reflect the theme of Convergence
= Collaboration + Créativité with a range of subjects.
