Announcing the Certificate in Disability Access and Inclusion

https://libraryjuiceacademy.com/certificate/disability-access-and-inclusion/

This certificate program will develop your understanding of accessibility
and disability, and provide you with practices to proactively include and
equitably serve patrons and staff with a range of disabilities. Courses
offer a range of approaches to disability and accessibility, giving you a
firm grounding in these complex concepts. Practical skills cover areas of
library work including web design, patron interactions, outreach and
programming, instruction, designing spaces, supervision, and more. As a
whole, these courses give you the intellectual tools to imagine what
accessibility and inclusion mean in your area of library work and the
practical tools to implement that vision.

The courses in the certificate grouping work as standalone courses as well,
and need not be taken towards a certificate. For the certificate, the
courses may be taken in any order; none have prerequisites. If you have
previously taken any of the courses below and want them to count towards
the certificate, let us know and we will maintain a record for you.

To earn the certificate, you must complete five of the following courses:

Library Resources and Services for Patrons on the Autism Spectrum

Assisting Patrons with Mental Disorders Across Library Settings

Web Accessibility: Techniques for Design and Testing

Accessible Practices in Pandemic Times

Introduction to Accessibility and Universal Design in Libraries

Accessibility from Legal Compliance to Disability Justice

Digital Accessibility for Library Work
