A public policy senior at Duke is doing extensive research on the characteristics of successful arts programs at the university level and which characteristics lead to more successful programs. She's surveyed 166 colleges and universities and is creating a database about arts programs and the characteristics of success. I can't wait to see this myself! She's looking for any resources (articles or papers) that could help. These resources could be about anything from demands for the current workforce, 21st century skills, importance of the arts, arts at the university level, effective educational practices, and student engagement. This seemed to me a question to tap the Society's broad experience with the topic.
