Dear colleagues, In case you find yourself in these times with free time on your hands, I have recorded a new slate of interviews, including interviews about art books and exhibitions, for my Library Cafe <http://library-cafe.org> college radio program since my last notice about Andrew Tallon and Lindsay Cook's book about Notre Dame of Paris. Included are today's interview (broadcasting just now) with the author Laurie Lisle about her 1980 groundbreaking *Portrait of an Artist: A Biography of Georgia OKeeffe*, first published in 1980. Also this semester are a discussion of our current exhibition, *Miracles of the Border: Retablos of Mexican Migrants to the United States*, which traveled to Vassar from Princeton, and *Liza Donnelly: Comic Relief*, recently on view at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge. Liza's live cartooning show on Happs TV each day at 5:00 p.m. is well worth following by the way; it is an effective and wholly original medium for stress-reduction in these troubling times. Liza points out herself in the interview that watching someone draw has a calming effect on the psyche. It is indeed worth exploring one of her sessions in that they us something about the process of drawing as performance not often considered, outside of gatherings around portraitists on city sidewalks or (now part of the past) malls. I hope all of you are doing well. Cheers, Thomas -- Thomas E.
