Dear Colleagues,
Jack Robertson, former ARLIS/NA member and the society’s president from 1996 to 1997, has announced his retirement from the Jefferson Library at Monticello.
Jack moved in 2000 from the University of Virginia’s Fiske Kimball Fine Arts Library to become the founding director of the library supporting the International Center
for Jefferson Studies as well as staff and visitors at Thomas Jefferson’s home. In 2016 his position title became the Fiske and Marie Kimball Librarian.
He reports that the past 20 years have proven to be fruitful, fulfilling, and fun!
Now, the next act begins, and Jack plans to continue to pursue many of his interests in arts, cultural heritage, and digital humanities by reading, writing, traveling
(when it’s safe) and communicating with many friends old and new.
