I am very sad to learn this. Sally was my Fashion: Now & Then conference friend, and I was in touch with her by email. I found her very kind and caring. I last saw here in November last year. Her presentation was on a topic I held very dear and fumbled to articulate.

Thanks for posting this sad news, Julia. Sally and I didn't interact often but it was always enjoyable because it generally involved our mutual interest in and love of historic preservation and architecture and documentation.
