Dear Colleagues,

 

Please join me in welcoming Larry Eames, instruction librarian Kraemer Family Library at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, as ARLIS/NA's media editor. Larry succeeds Anne Simmons in that role following approval by the executive board at its June 24 virtual monthly meeting. I would like to thank editorial board members Anne Simmons and Nick Curotto for serving on the search committee and interview panel.

 

Among a long list of professional accomplishments, Larry has served since March 2018 as social media liaison for ArLiSNAP and developed documentation describing the core duties of the role and a social media and marketing plan for the section, promoted programming and resources on social media channels, and planned and launched an Instagram account in response to conversations with section membership.

In addition to composing and broadcasting news and events on the society's web site and in press and social media outlets, the media editor is responsible for adding events to the ARLIS/NA public calendar. Please remember to notify Larry about your groups' programs.
