Dear ARLIS folks,

The Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, in partnership with Wikimedia DC, will host an Art+Feminism event next month, and we invite all to join us. Virtual Wikipedia Edit-a-thon: Black Artists Matter will be held on August 11 at 10am EDT. A flier is attached here. Participants can register for the event on the NMWA website. The event will focus on editing and improving articles of Black women artists represented in NMWA's fine arts collection, but editors are welcome to take this opportunity to improve the articles of all women artists of the African diaspora. The event is open to all, and those with no Wikipedia editing experience are encouraged to attend. The event will begin with a training facilitated by Wikimedia DC. NMWA will provide editors with secondary resources about the artists. This event will take place over Zoom.

Hope to see you there!
