Dear colleagues,

Has anyone worked with, or does anyone have access to information on curator Richard Martin (1947-1999)?

The History of Art Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I work, is putting together an article celebrating his life and many contributions in our annual newsletter.

Fashion historian Richard Martin was a professor and exhibition curator at FIT from the 1970s-1990s; he also was a renowned curator at the Met Costume Institute among many other accolades.

If anyone happens to have any personal recollections of working with Mr. Martin, or if your institution has any records or photos on him that you are able to share, we would greatly appreciate it. We hope to make this article a thoughtful tribute to a celebrated fashion historian.
