Dear colleagues, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will soon open a research center devoted to the study of Dutch and Flemish Art - The Center for Netherlandish Art (CNA). Consisting of a generous donation of primary and secondary materials in the subject, the CNA collections will be integrated with the MFA's library and collection to form a rich repository for scholars and students. I am reaching out to ARLIS-L in the hope to gather usage information of comparable research centers and/or libraries. More specifically, I am very interested in the number of visitors (outside users, not internal or affiliated staff) to comparable institutions and related information on total usage of resources onsite. This information would be extremely helpful as we make initial decisions about access, staffing and operational logistics. If you are affiliated with a comparable library, in focus or scale, I would appreciate your insight on the aforementioned issues.
