Colleagues, especially Southern CA colleagues, greetings from Kansas City.

Might you be interested in a proposed land art and social enterprise
project to restore the ancient California redwood forest?

I am contacting you on behalf of Jarrett Mellenbruch
<https://www.jarrettmellenbruch.com/>, artist and lecturer in KCAI’s
sculpture department and program head of our social practice program.
Jarrett has been selected for a 2020 Creative Capital Award
<https://creative-capital.org/> which will provide up to $50,000 in funding
for his exciting and ambitious *Redwood Preserve* project.

As part of this project, Jarrett is seeking an ‘embedded librarian’ to
participate in a multidisciplinary round table discussion to be held on
Saturday, March 21, at the Los Angeles gallery Bridge Projects
<https://www.bridgeprojects.com/>, 6820 Santa Monica Blvd., 90038. (Time of
day still to be determined.) In order to maximize the impact of the
dollars awarded, he is asking for pro bono participation. The round table
will include experts in climate change, carbon sequestration, redwood
forestry, game theory, and blockchain technology.

for
more information on the project. Please share this opportunity with your
staff and with other librarians in the LA area. For additional
information and to volunteer with the round table contact Jarrett

My two cents: this is a great opportunity to work with a wonderful person
on a truly exciting project.
