Congratulations to Shoshana Vegh-Gaynor, recipient of the Winberta Yao Travel Award from the Mountain West Chapter of ARLIS/NA!  

The award will support travel expenses for Shoshana’s attendance at the ARLIS/NA 48th annual conference to be held in St. Louis, Missouri April 20-24, 2020.

A new member of the Mountain West region, Shoshana is the new art librarian at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Also new to the ARLIS/NA annual conference, Shoshana aims to focus on the Yearlong Mentor Program and connecting with peers. Shoshana states, ‘ “since my primary responsibilities include instruction and collection development, it would be very useful to attend workshops and sessions that focus on instruction and collection development strategies in the arts, particularly any that focus on contemporary or indigenous art. I am extremely interested in attending “Teaching in the Art Library: From Pedagogy to Praxis” ’. Shoshana also wishes to become more involved in ARLIS/NA and the Mountain West Chapter from an organizational and leadership perspective.

We are pleased to be able to support Shoshana’s attendance at the upcoming conference in St. Louis. Let’s give congratulations and a warm welcome to Shoshana.
