Many congratulations and thanks to you both, Kristen and Karina, for this amazing program. What an incredible opportunity for the University of Pennsylvania's Fisher Fine Arts Library, who was lucky to have been awarded a NDSR resident in 2017. The work of that cohort and the one to follow (18/19) has been so important to the host institutions but also to ARLIS/NA and the broader profession. Moreover, this work and collaborations *within an arts information context* advanced how the respective organizations responded to related challenges facing* all* disciplines and scholarly endeavors. I also applaud the hard work and excellent programming you and the NDSR-Art Task Force put into the immersion week preceding the residents' official appointments. The talent recruited and the programming itself was diverse and deeply engaging. It serves as a terrific model for an ARLS/NA professional development suite of workshops/seminars for the membership. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of NDSR-Art Information and I encourage all ARLIS folks to check out the projects produced by the residents.
