Don’t miss out on this opportunity!  Want to attend IFLA in Dublin this August?  Consider applying today.  Have a European colleague who would benefit from attending our ARLIS/NA St Louis conference in April?  Send this reminder their way. 

Thanks to the generosity of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) is accepting applications for the Kress International Travel Awards (due Jan 15, 2020.) This program promotes the exchange of ideas and information among art librarians/ Exceptional art information professionals will receive awards of $1,500 USD* to attend conferences, thereby fostering communication and developing connections with international projects and initiatives.

There are two categories of awards:

*The Samuel H. Kress International Travel Awards Review Panel [Kim Collins (chair), Jane Carlin, Debbie Kemp, Mackenzie Salisbury, and Giana Ricci] may take into consideration levels of need, participation, and travel costs before determining the final amount, but each award will begin with the $1,500 USD amount. 

 

This is a terrific opportunity thanks to the generosity of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation.  Please see award details here and submit your application here.  Both award categories are due by midnight EST on Jan 15, 2020.

  1. A budget of proposed expenses
  2. Describe why you are eligible for this award, your specific interests, and your expectations of the conference in terms of your current projects and professional development goals.
  3. If relevant, provide an abstract of the paper you proposed.
  4. If your paper has been accepted, include proof of participation in the conference or program.  If acceptance of your paper is pending, provide proof of submission and the date when you expect to be notified.
