with which to view and discuss issues of diversity and inclusion in the wider field.
The American Women’s History Initiative is proud to present
Working Women: The Smithsonian Institution as a Case Study, a two-day conference where presenters and panelists will explore the challenges and opportunities navigated by working women at the Smithsonian. Our aim is to identify how the ideas and practices
of the Institution reflect the broader experience of American women in the workforce over the past 150 years.
