Dear AASL Colleagues,

The Programming Committee is issuing a CALL FOR MODERATORS for the 42nd Annual Association of Architecture School Librarians Conference, in San Diego, California, March 12-14, 2020. Volunteering as a moderator is a great opportunity to participate in the upcoming conference. As a moderator, you will be responsible for introducing the session and speakers, managing the time, loading the presentations to the laptop, and leading discussion.

Our theme this year is OPEN: we will be perform "open heart surgery" on architectural libraries to challenge assumptions about library functions and services, to position the library at the heart of the campus; address approaches to increase awareness of open access and alternatives to high-cost publishing; explore issues related to interdisciplinary collaborations between architecture and allied disciplines in the library, the classroom, and digital spaces; and challenge AASL to increase diversity, inclusivity, and equity.

If you would like to volunteer, please send an email to Nilda Sanchez-Rodriguez ([log in to unmask]) with your name and institution, as you would like it to appear in the program by Friday, November 8th.

Cheers,

2020 AASL Conference Programming Committee
