In June 2018, a subcommittee of the ARLIS/NA Research and Information Services Section (RISS) released the Art, Architecture, and Design Information Competencies, which updated the Information Competencies for Students in Design Disciplines to reflect the changing nature of research and information literacy. RISS plans to update the Art, Architecture, and Design Information Competencies on a yearly basis with new disciplines according to ARLIS/NA member interest. 

The second update to the Competencies is now available and includes the disciplines of Graphic Design, Interior Design, Photography, and Urban & Regional Planning. Many thanks to the authors for their work: Stefanie Hilles (Graphic Design), Amanda Meeks (Interior Design), Larissa Garcia (Photography), and Stephanie Beene (Urban & Regional Planning)!
