I  had an email from the public library looking for an encyclopedia that holds general biographical and career information about 20th and 21st century American artists that is updated yearly.  The patron who made the request seems to have run across such a work some time ago, but I have no idea what resource he is talking about. 

 

I’m hoping someone on this list might know how to find such an encyclopedia that received yearly updates on the current trends in art and provides basic information about American artists.
