All: I have enjoyed reading this thread. The ARLIS/NA Executive Board will take the lead in planning the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Society. We will be working closely with the Midstates Chapter on this important milestone. The commemorative pin is an excellent idea. Anybody know the date? The gold-colored pin In the middle is for Society Circle members; I think Gregg Most had something to do with it? In the middle of the pin is the date the Society was established (2003), but I think the pin was produced several years later than that—anyone have this information? Seems to me there must have been other pins produced? My first ARLIS/NA conference was 1977 (the 5th) in Los Angeles. I guess Janis Ekdahl went to the first conference at Columbia in NYC—though she looks younger than all of us! Anyone else still around that attended the first?
