Dear Michelle,

You might try contacting the Alamance County Historical Society given that the Battle of Alamance (https://alamancebattleground.org/) was a battle of the War of Regulation.

Best,

Subject: [ARLIS-L] Pre-revolutionary war uniforms, North Carolina War of Regulation (c. 1765-1771)

Hello everyone,

I’m hoping someone can direct me to a good resource for images or descriptions of pre-revolutionary war costumes/uniforms.  I have someone working on a project about North Carolina’s War of Regulation (c. 1765-1771).  She is looking for descriptions of “uniforms” used by the pro-British militia and the North Carolina colonists known as the Regulators.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you,

Miki Bulos
