Dear ARLIS/NA members,

Today, we welcome Nancy Short as our new ARLIS/NA executive director at AEG headquarters.  She succeeds Tim Penno, who held the position for 5 months, and Robert Kopchinski, who left AEG in September 2018.  

 

Nancy worked with AEG from 2006-2014 and helped with our  ARLIS/NA 37th annual conference in 2009.  Nancy has 25 years of experience as an association manager and certified meeting planner.  She has  lived in Wisconsin for almost 30 years but is originally from the Chicago suburbs.  She attended the University of Illinois and has 3 adult children, 6 grandchildren and 4 nephews (all whom she enjoys spoiling).

 

Tim Penno is returning to his roots in collective bargaining and government affairs within the construction industry and has been hired to serve as a national labor relations consultant to the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association. His last day at AEG was Monday, January 21, and he asked me to extend his best wishes for success and prosperity to the association at large. I enjoyed working with Tim and appreciate all his help managing the executive board, organizing the Salt Lake City conference (March 26-30, 2019), and planning the 48th annual conference in St. Louis (April 21-25, 2020).
