Dear colleagues:

The Internet Archive and the New York Art Resources Consortium (NYARC) invite applications to attend the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)-funded National Forum event, Advancing Art Libraries and Curated Web Archives, on February 11-12, 2019 at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). The forum will facilitate collaboration among art and museum libraries in the curation and preservation of web-based art resources for scholarly use.

The project aims to achieve national scale through network building and shared infrastructure planning that the project team will foster through a program of discussion, training, and strategic roadmapping. It will publish outputs on strategic directions and community-specific training materials informed by a diverse community of art and museum libraries, and will launch a multi-institutional effort to scale the extent of web-published, born-digital materials preserved and accessible for art scholarship and research.

More information about the event can be found here. We have reserved a limited number of attendee spots for applications from individuals who are eager to contribute to discussion and roadmapping among key stakeholders in the art and museum library community. Please fill out this form by Friday, December 21 to apply for attendance. Applicants can request up to a $900 travel stipend towards travel and lodging expenses.  We will notify accepted applicants by early January, 2019.

Best regards,

Sumitra Duncan, on behalf of the Internet Archive and NYARC
