Dear Colleagues,
the International Relations Committee (IRC) of ARLIS/NA is pleased to announce the 2019 Study Tour to Venice, Italy.
From June 10-16, 2019, we are
planning to discover the city’s secrets and make behind-the-scene visits to the remarkable
Marciana
National Library, the
Correr Museum, the Biennale
Archives and Library,
and
the
Peggy Guggenheim Collection, among other
renowned
Italian art institutions.
Participants will stay at the prestigious
Giorgio Cini Foundation housed in a 16th century monastery on the small island of San Giorgio, in the Saint Mark’s Basin. We
will have the opportunity to meet European colleagues, taste original Italian cuisine, and experience the cultural life of
La
Serenissima!
A detailed itinerary, cost estimates, and registration forms will be available in January 2019 on the ARLIS/NA website. Please mark your calendars and watch
for announcements when registration opens. The tour will be limited to 20 ARLIS/NA members and applications will be received on a “first-come, first-served” basis, so please apply promptly to reserve your space.
One scholarship will be offered to a deserving ARLIS/NA early career member—watch for the announcement of this in January.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to directly study the
exceptionally
rich resources for art and architecture in Venice.
Isotta Poggi and
Spyros Koulouris, 2019 IRC Study Tour Organizers.
