Thanks to everyone who attended the committee and affiliate liaison webinar last week.  A link to the slides is provided.

This is the final reminder to fill out the volunteer form if you are interested in serving as a Committee member, Committee chair, and/or affiliate liaison.

The form will stay open through Friday November 2, 2018.  

 

Between November 5 and November 30, I will work with ARLIS/NA leadership to make committee and liaison appointments. 

Incoming committee chairs will assist with committee member appointments.

Notifications will go out in early December to coincide with Conference registration.

Hi ARLIS/NA Colleagues:

 

I am writing to inform you about the new process for volunteering to be a committee member, committee chair, and affiliate liaison. 

 

The ARLIS/NA Executive Board has created a new process that we hope to be more equitable and transparent.  If you are interested in serving as a committee member, committee chair or affiliate liaison, please fill out the volunteer form between October 1-31, 2018.  All members in good standing are encouraged to apply.  To assist with the appointments, please be prepared to briefly discuss why you are interested and your qualifications.

 

Appointments will be made during the month of November and notifications will go out to coincide with conference registration opening in December.  These 2019-2020 open positions will begin after the Salt Lake City annual conference, March 26 – 30, 2019.

 

We are looking for the following liaisons:

·         ALA/ACRL Arts Liaison

·         VRA liaison

·         AASL Liaison

·         ALA/Diversity Liaison

·         SAA Liaison

 

And we are looking for the following committee chairs:

·         Cataloging Advisory

·         Development

·         International Relations

·         Nominating

·         Professional Development

·         Public Policy

·         Strategic Directions
