Dear ARLIS-L I thrilled to introduce Timothy A. Penno, our new ARLIS/NA Executive Director from AEG. Tim will serve on the ARLIS/NA Executive Board, helping to facilitate meetings and participate in deliberations. Like Robert, Tim will help ARLIS/NA leaders with our sentinel, strategic and generative roles. He will also be our main contact at Headquarters and will manage the work of the Society, including conferences, membership, technology issues, etc. Association Specialist Katie Young Eagle, [log in to unmask], will continue to work with ARLIS/NA & Tim in the headquarters office. Tim is a seasoned association executive with 20+ years of management experience, especially governance and conference management. He has helped run executive boards and planned major events for organizations like the National Electrical Contractors Association, the Lake County (IL) Contractors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. Tim has also served as a multi-state and federal lobbyist. Tim graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is working toward a CAE certification. Tim lives in Cedarburg, WI with the youngest of his four children. In his spare time, Tim likes to run and workout and has coached high school varsity-level club baseball for the past 6 years. Tim is already reaching out to the executive board, the conference co-chairs from Salt Lake City & St Louis, and others.
