ARLIS/ANZ TRAVEL AWARDS

The ARLIS/ANZ (Arts Libraries Society/Australia and New Zealand) Conference –Expanding Our Reach: Art, Research and Access.

 

The ARLIS/ANZ (Arts Libraries Society/Australia and New Zealand) Conference – Expanding Our Reach: Art, Research and Access is taking place at the National Portrait Gallery and National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, 4- 5 October 2018.

Personal or Institutional Members of ARLIS/ANZ or international members of an ARLIS organisation are now invited to apply for the ARLIS/ANZ Travel Grant of A$700 to assist attendance at the conference. Applicants must have a minimum membership of twelve months' standing. There are two awards of $A700.00 each on offer.

Submission should include the following information: Name, contact details, current role and a brief resume giving details about professional activities, particularly in ARLIS/ANZ or an ARLIS organisation and length of membership. Also a short summary of purpose for which an award is sought with details of other funding received or applied for is welcomed.

Applications for the ARLIS/ANZ Travel Grant close on 29 June 2018 at 5pm. Applicants will be notified of the Committee’s decision by 15 July 2018.

The decisions of the ARLIS/ANZ Conference Committee shall be final and no correspondence regarding them shall be entered into. In making an award to attend an ARLIS/ANZ conference, preference may be given to a member who has not received an ARLIS/ANZ Travel Grant on a previous occasion.

There is an additional award for a student or new graduate living in the ACT region. The successful applicant will receive one year’s membership to ARLIS/ANZ plus full conference registration and an invitation to attend the conference dinner.

Applicants for the ACT award should submit the following information: Name, contact details, current status, i.e. student or new graduate and a brief resume giving details about professional and /or educational activities, Also a short summary of purpose for which an award is sought with details of other funding received or applied for is welcomed. The award recipient will be asked to submit a short description of their experience at the conference for publication on the ARLIS/ANZ website.
