Hi Kathleen:

 

Wow—this is an amazing list!  28 CAA-affiliated (mostly specialized art history) organizations.  (ARLIS/NA is near the bottom of the list.)  It made me think that some ARLIS members might have enough of a special interest in some of these groups that they would want to join.  It also made me think that (as much as the proliferation of SIGs is difficult for our HQ and conference administrators), our SIGs serve the purpose of providing an outlet for special interests that might otherwise compel a member to join other organizations.  Of course sometimes those other memberships are well worth it, but sometimes not.  Thanks, Kathleen, for providing this insight.
