Dear colleagues, I know we've all struggled with this: bibliographic management systems - like RefWorks, EndNote, ProCite, Zotero - mismanaging foreign language citations. This is especially difficult when one bibliography compiles sources from many languages. Unrecognized diacritics and automated word-capitalization are two areas that are most troublesome. My experience is with RefWorks and I usually just have to do a ton of manual editing. But, I was wondering if anyone has experience working with other products more successfully. Is there a system that minimizes the need for extensive editing? Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated! Please respond directly to me off-list.
