Congratulations Susan! I do recommend retirement, whether you use the time to do independent writing or professional work or travel or just anything other than what you've been doing for 28 years-the point is to do it on your own time, making up your own schedule, and doing only what you want to do or are inspired to do. 28 years is a very long time-here's to at least 28 years of fun ahead of you!!
