Colleagues:

It is great to see that there is so much interest in the workshop Big Changes, Big Moves, Smaller Footprints: Strategies for Rightsizing the Onsite Print Collection for the 21st Century Library. Many of us are thinking about this topic right now. I am sorry that everyone who is interested in the workshop cannot be accommodated. The workshop was capped at 25 due to the size of the classroom at Hunter College.

I will take this opportunity though to remind attendees that there is a companion session Big Changes, Big Moves, Smaller Footprints: Strategies for Rightsizing the Onsite Print Collection for the 21st Century Library<https://arlisna2018.sched.com/event/CqNB/big-changes-big-moves-smaller-footprints-strategies-for-rightsizing-the-onsite-print-collection-for-the-21st-century-librarythe-session?iframe=yes&w=100%25&sidebar=yes&bg=no> on Wednesday February 28 at 9:45am.

Best, Laura

HI all,

Just adding my voice to those that would attend this particular workshop if more room were possible. I do understand the limitations, and I know I should have acted sooner. But, just had to chime in!

Dear Zimra and the ARLIS/NA community,
It’s so great to see that the workshops being offered for the annual conference in NYC are popular and filling up. Unfortunately, I’m sorry to say that the workshops are first-come, first-served with no wait list.
From past experience at previous conferences, we’ve learned that workshop participants go to the workshops that they have signed up for and rarely cancel. Every year at each of the conferences, workshops tend to sell out quickly. We try to accommodate as many individuals as we can, and unfortunately have limits in attendance. We truly wish we could provide access for those who can’t.
However, I believe there are still some other workshops and tours that are still open - I hope you might consider attending one of those. You won’t be disappointed, as the conference planning team has assembled a great lineup and program.
Sincerely,
Eumie

Following this thread - I would love to be on a waitlist for this workshop.

I am needing to attend this workshop but see it has reached capacity. Is there a wait list?
