The ARLIS/NA Executive Board is pleased to announce availability of an Information Technology Request Form, a new way for the society’s working groups (committees, divisions, sections, special interest groups, and chapters) to request modifications to the ARLIS/NA website that are more complicated than routine editorial changes.

Unlike the project and service charter form, which applies to major proposals entailing extensive or long-term resource allocations, the new form can be used to request major changes to existing website content and functionality, particularly those requiring reconfiguration in Joomla, the website’s content management software.

The Google form captures the name and contact information of the requestor, the nature and priority of the modification, and the executive board liaison representing the group making the request. The completed form populates a spreadsheet monitored regularly by the ARLIS/NA executive director, the information architect, and the editorial director. The requestor will be notified by email when resources are assigned and the request is completed.

In order to submit an IT request, please log in to the ARLIS/NA website, go to Administrative Documents & Tools and choose the link under “Forms.”

Many thanks to Tessa Brawley-Barker and Nick Curotto for their assistance in bringing this project to completion.
