The reservation person I dealt with who indicated that she was at the Midtown Hilton had charged me $265.00 to stay over Friday night. She was very insistent that that was hotel policy. Unfortunately, the hotel is part of a large organization in which the reservation staff is not located on-site, and so, many of you may be hearing from the reservation staff that we don’t have rooms available at the conference rates before, during and after the conference. This is not true – we have plenty of rooms at the discounted rate available before, during and after the conference! I know that this has been a frustrating experience for many of you. Here are some tips for you when speaking with the hotel reservations staff - you’ll need to be persistent with them by either asking to speak with their manager or calling back and speaking with someone else.
