Resources for Review: We seek reviewers for the following resources.

On Board with Design
This exhibition draws from examples in the Northwestern University Transportation Library’s special and circulating collections to highlight examples of branding and graphic
design in the form of passenger ephemera such as menus, timetables, and ticket envelopes, as well as the annual reports that were published for investors and were equally representative, though less publicly visible, examples of design work. We hope that we
will open new avenues of discovery and exploration for our readers, while at the same time highlighting the contributions of some of our generous donors, whose collections are featured in the exhibit.
Tropy
Tropy is free open-source desktop software that allows you to organize and describe photographs of research material. Tropy uses customizable metadata templates with multiple
fields for different properties of the content of your photo, for example, title, date, author, box, folder, collection, archive. A search function lets you find material in your photos, using the information in the metadata, tags, and notes.
Fashion Photography Archive
Fashion Photography Archive is a new database designed for art libraries to subscribe or purchase for their users. It offers exclusive and powerful access to a vast and fast-expanding
library of rare and iconic images from the late 1970s and 2000. Curated by Dr. Valerie Steele (Director of the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology), the Fashion Photography Archive also includes a wealth of supplementary content including specially
commissioned articles, biographies, and videos.
Oh Freedom!
Oh Freedom! offers a new introduction to the Civil Rights movement through the unique lens of Smithsonian collections. Drawing connections among art, history, and social
change, Oh Freedom! provides educators with tools to help students re-imagine and re-interpret the long struggle for civil rights, justice, and equality in fresh ways. Oh Freedom! compiles and interprets a selection of more than three dozen artworks from the
collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and The National Museum of African American History and Culture.
Frank Lloyd Wright: Unpacking the Archive
Frank Lloyd Wright: Unpacking the Archive, the new landmark exhibition catalogue published by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, is now available in digital format on
Musebooks. This digital edition appears as part of an ongoing cooperation between Musebooks and MoMA to make the Museum’s exhibition and collection catalogues available online in the innovative Musebooks digital format. The Musebooks format is an improved
alternative to the e-book and is the first digital reading experience designed and developed specifically for art books.
Itinera
Designed to allow scholars and students to better comprehend the interconnected phenomena of mobility, object collection, and site documentation in the eighteenth and nineteenth
centuries, Itinera is an map-based, interactive, digital resource that overlays and juxtaposes the movements of travelers alongside the objects of their study and their own creative output. Visualizing, understanding, and generating new insights into the changing
patterns and objectives for these types of travel are the primary motivators of behind Itinera.
Europeana Art Nouveau Exhibition Online
Drawing on the vast digital collections of Europeana, the Art Nouveau online exhibition showcases numerous works of art, architecture, and design, along with informative
descriptions to present both the works themselves and to illuminate some of the lore and motivations behind the iconography and imagery of the era.
Scan the World
Scan the World is an ambitious initiative whose mission is to archive the world’s sculptures, statues, artworks and any other objects of cultural significance using 3D scanning
technologies to produce content suitable for 3D printing.
