Subject: ARLIS/NA Open Access Task Force Report now available

 

Dear ARLIS/NA Member,

On behalf of the ARLIS/NA Open Access Task Force, I am happy to share their final report that explores the society’s current publishing activities, within the context of open access (OA) publishing. The report recommends ways the society can continue to integrate an open approach for future ARLIS/NA publishing. I would like to applaud and thank Daniel Payne (Chair, OATF) and the members of this group for their excellent work in pulling together a complex picture of ARLIS/NA publishing with concrete strategies for the society going forward.

Several recommendations in the report have already been put into place and the editorial board is reviewing this report as it considers the road ahead - particularly in terms of the website infrastructure we may need in the future, so that we can continue to support a dynamic range of publications down the line.
