Hi All: At the University of Florida, we are reviewing security measures at our smaller branch libraries which include the Architecture & Fine Arts Library (Art, Design, Music) and the Education Library. These libraries are a five- to ten-minute walk from the much larger Science and Social Science/Humanities Libraries. We currently lack some of the security infrastructure present in our larger campus library neighbors. I would like to know what peers in subject branch libraries are doing in terms of security infrastructure in general, and more specifically if you have a panic/emergency button installed at our service point(s). If you aren't comfortable sharing on the list, feel free to contact me off-list. Any formal recommendation that we make here will only involve numbers, not institutional names. I'm happy to post aggregated responses to the list if there is interest. Apologies for duplication/cross-posting.
