WVLS Assistant Director Inese Christman is a member of the Wisconsin LSTA Advisory Council. LSTA funding and other IMLS programs are essential to all libraries and citizens at the local level. Nothing will change for IMLS or other agencies immediately. The White House budget plan is a political document conveying the president’s priorities to Congress, which writes the federal budget. The American Library Association is expected to send out another press release by the end of this week and on Monday afternoon with more of an action plan for mass publication. Please contact your State Association’s legislative committee to provide action plans.
